Electrical engineers are the backbone of the accelerated development and transformation of the energy system

Electrical engineers shape the world with their innovations, and current and future generations of electrical engineers will be the backbone of the accelerated development and transformation of the energy system based on sustainable solutions – this was the message from the expert meeting "Eight Days of Electrical Engineers" of the Engineers Chamber of Montenegro (IKCG).

At the opening of the "Eight Days of Electrical Engineers", one of the most important professional events in the country, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem, Aleksandar Mijušković, said that the gathering is an opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas that lead us to a more modern, sustainable and energy efficient society.

"Engineering is not just a profession - it is a vocation that shapes the world. In the family of engineers, there is a special place for electrical engineers who bring innovations and solutions for everyday and global challenges, from generation, transmission, distribution of electricity to technological achievements in telecommunications, automation, green technologies, and artificial intelligence. We at CGES, as a leader in the energy sector, are proud of our team of over 100 engineers who perform a wide variety of tasks every day and contribute to the development of our infrastructure and the implementation of new technologies", Mijušković said.

As he added, they are especially dedicated to the green transition through the modernisation of the transmission network and the connection of renewable sources of electricity.

"Our joint responsibility is to be leaders of change and create a sustainable energy world for future generations", Mijušković emphasised.

Today is an opportunity to look back on what has been achieved and inspire ourselves for future challenges. Our shared responsibility is to be leaders of change and create a sustainable energy world for future generations.
