Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem has successfully completed the replacement of the 150 MVA power transformer, 220\/110\/10.5 kV voltage level, in the substation Mojkovac, thus completing one of the most significant investment projects in the modernisation of the Montenegrin transmission network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The works in the substation Mojkovac, which lasted a little more than a month, were implemented with the good coordination of the contractor and expert teams of CGES. All technical and organisational challenges were successfully overcome, and the new transformer was commissioned and ready to contribute to a more secure and more reliable functioning of the electric power system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the commissioning of the transformer in Mojkovac, an investment worth around 4.4 million euros was completed, as part of which two obsolete transformer units with a capacity of 150 MVA were replaced \u2014 in the substations Podgorica 1 and Mojkovac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The completion of this project represents another confirmation of the company's continuous determination to plan and responsibly invest in the modernisation and reliability of the transmission network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By replacing the two transformers that have been in operation for decades, we further improve the security and stability of the electric power system of Montenegro. Such investments have multiple significance \u2014 not only for the reliable supply of electricity today, but also for the creation of the necessary technical prerequisites for further development of the system, the connection of new generation capacities and the energy transition that is ahead of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The special significance of the project is reflected in the modernisation and reinforcement of the transmission infrastructure in the north of Montenegro. The new transformer in Mojkovac contributes to greater reliability and flexibility of the system, increasing its readiness to respond to future needs and development challenges. With the successful completion of the replacement of both transformers, CGES continues an intensive and continuous investment cycle aimed at modernising the key electric power infrastructure of Montenegro, with a clear goal \u2014 creating a more secure, more reliable and more flexible transmission system, ready for the needs of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
