CGES delegation, led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Aleksandar Miju\u0161kovi\u0107, and the Executive Director, Ivan Asanovi\u0107, paid an official visit to the Italian transmission system operator, Terna. This visit marks a continuation of the longstanding successful cooperation between the two companies, reflected in the implementation of the project Montenegro- Italy power system interconnection via HVDC submarine cable.\n\n \n\nThe delegation also included the Director of Electroprenos (Electricity Transmission Sector), Leda Mini\u0107, the Director of the Regulatory, Legal, and International Cooperation Sector, Milica Dereti\u0107, the Director of the National Dispatch Center, Ranko Red\u017ei\u0107, the Director of the Development and Investment Sector, Dragan Perunovi\u0107, and the Head of ED Office, Aleksa Kne\u017eevi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On behalf of Terna, the delegation was welcomed by the Vice Chairwoman of CGES Board of Directors Maria Rosaria Guarniere and Board Member Guido Guida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first part of the visit focused on familiarization with the organization of the National Dispatch Center, processes in market coupling implementation, the integration of renewable energy sources into the transmission system, and the application of battery energy storage systems. A visit was also organized to Esperia, the regional subsidiary of the Southeast Europe Electricity Network Coordination Center (SEleNe-CC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second part of the visit was dedicated to the application of innovations and new technologies in facilities and business processes, with a special focus on digital substations. Additionally, asset management practices and maintenance of substations and transmission lines were presented, along with a brief overview of the interconnection project between Italy and Montenegro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are confident that the exchange of knowledge and experience during this visit will further strengthen the cooperation between CGES and Terna, contribute to the improvement of CGES business processes, and support the continued development of the transmission network of Montenegro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
