WE ACHIEVED POSITIVE BUSINESS RESULTS IN THE PRECEDING YEAR<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. <\/span>1. What are CGES business results for this year (2015)? Were the business results in line with the expected ones? <\/span><\/strong><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CGES ended with positive business results in 2015, thereby continuing realization of a series of positive business results that started as long as 2009 when CGES was founded. As a matter of fact, the results are better that those set by Business Plan, although in certain segments they significantly differ when compared to previous year \u2013 for instance on revenue side \u2013 which is a consequence of the implementation of binding decisions of Energy Regulatory Agency, i.e. specific features of business operation of an energy undertaking whose business activities are fully regulated. In this year, as was the case in all the previous years, the main focus of our activities was on implementing challenging investment plan. With the scope and significance of the investments we have implemented, we endeavoured to maintain image of an investment-oriented company, which besides the most important project with an international relevance \u2013 submarine interconnection with Italy \u2013 has implemented a series of projects which will make transmission network in Montenegro stronger, more reliable and safer, which further guarantees better quality of electricity transmission service and better accessibility for the existing and future users. Such dynamic development of transmission network is especially necessary having in mind the fact that transmission network in Montenegro is part of a technically unique European transmission network, whose reliability influence the security of power supply to consumers outside Montenegro borders.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides many projects being currently implemented, I would like to single out the important ones that we have completed this year. First of all: the project of reconstruction of electrical protection systems, which significantly improves stability and flexibility of transmission network, for which 1,8 million euro was spent; the project of construction of substation \u00bbNik\u0161i\u0107 2\u00ab, which will create another key point of providing power to consumers in Nik\u0161i\u0107 after its connection to transmission network, for which 4,2 million euro is earmarked; dislocation of overhead line \u00bbNik\u0161i\u0107 \u2013 Bile\u0107a\u00ab from the area of Dragova Luka \u2013 the project value is 0,6 million euro; extension of substation \u00bbMojkovac\u00ab by installing one more transformer 110\/35 kV, thereby ensuring 100 % power reserve for consumers that are supplied with power from this substation, i.e. the consumers in the area of Mojkovca and consumers in the area of Kola\u0161in. The project value is 1,1 million euro.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. What is the status of project implementation of submarine cable between Montenegro and Italy and what activities are planned in 2016? (The submarine cable should, as previously announced, enter the Montenegrin coast in the second half of next year)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year together with our strategic partner, Terna Company from Italy, we have continued to implement one of the biggest transmission network projects in Europe \u2013 submarine interconnection between Montenegro and Italy. I would like to point out that CGES\u2019 obligation under project coordination agreement is to construct the infrastructure (reinforcement of the grid) in Montenegro, which is necessary for planned connection, as well as for meeting growing electricity demands on the Montenegrin coastal area. For organizational, technical and financial reasons we have split our project part in three sections: construction of substation \u00bbLastva\u00ab; construction of overhead line \u00bbLastva-\u010cevo\u00ab and construction of overhead line \u00bb\u010cevo-Pljevlja\u00ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A contract for substation \u00bbLastva\u00ab was signed with Siemens from Vienna, and earth works were performed in 2015 on the location of the substation, development of project documents and manufacturing of a piece of equipment. Activities under this contract are mainly performed in accordance with the plan. Construction of buildings on the location, delivery and installation of equipment and practically completion of all works on the substation are planned in 2016.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A contract for overhead lines from Lastva to \u010cevo (three overhead lines, out of which one is double circuit \u2013 two overhead lines on one tower) was signed with \u00bbIberdrola\u00ab from Madrid. I wouldn\u2019t like to make it sound like alibi, but the fact is that the construction of overhead line is a very complex job, first of all because of a huge number of locations on which we need to construct and where we encounter various expected and unexpected obstacles and conflicts which require much effort and time in order to be eliminated. In 2015, activities were conducted on solving property and legal issues and project documents were being prepared, and the construction of access roads to locations of tower spots started in the second half of the year. Due to certain unskillfulness of contractor caused by different standards and regulations applied in European Union and Montenegro, we were faced with delays in finalization of project documents. Together with consultant on this project we have intensively communicated with contractor in order to find out an acceptable solution for all parties. Manufacturing of tower structure, finalization of main design, completion of access roads and foundations of towers and assembly of towers are all planned in 2016.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A contract for overhead line from \u010cevo to Pljevlja was signed with a regional consortium \u00bbEnergoinvest\u00ab from Sarajevo and \u00bbEnergomonta\u017ea\u00ab from Belgrade. The most important activities in 2015 were very similar to the activities on the project of constructing overhead line \u00bbLastva \u2013 \u010cevo\u00ab, and the plans for the year 2016 are similar to the plans of constructing overhead line \u00bbLastva \u2013 \u010cevo\u00ab. <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Terna has been also intensively working on the implementation of their project part, and through the activities of project coordination commission we are exchanging information and experiences and agree dynamics of the implementation.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. <\/span><\/strong>How many legal disputes is CGES currently conducting and what is the status of disputes with Elektroprivreda (EPCG)?<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CGES is currently conducting about fifty legal disputes, mainly relating to property and legal relations. With EPCG we are conducting twelve legal disputes which are in various phases of legal proceeding. CGES endeavours and expect to create very soon conditions for overcoming disputable cases with EPCG in order not to burden necessarily needed cooperation between the two most important power entities in Montenegro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/span>4. What are the most important activities the company plans in 2016?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most important activity for the year 2016 is no doubt the implementation of investment plan in the amount of 52 million euro. Of course, our focus will be on the implementation of the main project, i.e. submarine interconnection with Italy. We plan to complete most activities on the construction of necessary facilities in 2016, for which 42 million euro should be spent. Our ambition is to actively work on improving several aspects of business operation in 2016, particularly in the field of information technology and increasing business efficiency. The following year is the year of preparing and submitting a request for approval of regulatory revenue for the next multiyear regulatory period, which is of paramount importance for the company. Planned activities which are no less important refer to improving safety of our employees and enhancing social responsibility of the company.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
