A seminar under the name \u201cMarket oriented electric power systems with distributed generators and electricity storage systems\u201d was held on 14 May at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) in Podgorica, which was officially opened by the Minister of Science Dr Sanja Damjanovi\u0107. \u201cMontenegro is an associate member of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation \u201cHorizon 2020\u201d from 2014. This is one of the most beautiful programmes by which social challenges are mapped, and then the academic and economic sector are invited to offer the best innovative solutions. This programme offers big opportunities for different subjects in the scientific and innovation process, however, it requires also a different approach in the scientific-research work. For a more intensive participation of our community in \u201cHorizon 2020\u201d, it is necessary to change the concept of scientific work, as work for a personal progress and choice in a higher vocation, towards the concept of scientific work to contribution to the economy \u2013 enhancement of competitiveness and creation of new jobs, or solving big social challenges\u201d, Minister Damjanovi\u0107 said speaking to attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem actively participated in the work of the seminar and had a representative, B.Sc.E.E. Ivan Bulatovi\u0107 who had a noticeable presentation \u201cActual trends in wind energy in the world and Montenegro\u201d.\n\nIn addition to Mr Bulatovi\u0107, the seminar was attended also by representatives of the academic and economic sector. The main lecturer at the seminar was Prof Jovica Milanovi\u0107 from the University in Manchester, one of the main researchers in the EU H202 project CrossBow. Prof Sa\u0161a Mujovi\u0107 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering manages the national project with which the Faculty of Electrical Engineering joined this EU project, who is a member of the Council for Scientific Research Activity within the Ministry of Science of Montenegro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
