In this regard, on 8 December 2021, CGES will energise 400 kV overhead line Lastva-\u010cevo-Pljevlja - section \u010cevo-Brezna-Bukovica, 72 kilometres long.<o_p><\/o_p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">To recall, this is a project of the European Union and Energy Community interest,  which speaks enough about significance of this investment that surely goes far beyond the Montenegrin borders. This connection will contribute to the stability of the Montenegrin power system and more reliable and higher quality supply of electricity to consumers as well. Increasing transmission capacities and providing safe and high-quality electricity supply will create preconditions for faster economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also point out that the implementation of this project has established a direct connection between Montenegro and the EU electricity market as a good precondition for realization of energy potential in the region, i.e. creating further preconditions for investments in generation and transmission capacities in Montenegro and in the neighbouring countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The voltage test will be implemented based on the Decision of the Administration for Inspection Affairs on the overhead line about 72 kilometres long.
