The signing of the Transmission Grid Connection Agreement between Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem (CGES) and ‘’Korita’’ Wind Farm LLC marks the continuation of a strong investment cycle in the sector of renewable energy sources in Montenegro.
The EUR 132 million investment will facilitate the construction of an 88 MW wind farm, with commercial operation expected to commence in 2030. The Agreement was signed by Ivan Asanović, General Director of CGES, and Marko Borozan, Executive Director of ‘’Korita’’ Wind Farm LLC, enabling the connection of the new generating facility to the national transmission network. The project will contribute to increased renewable electricity generation, enhanced energy security and system reliability, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and further utilization of Montenegro’s significant wind energy potential.
