Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem AD (CGES) is a company with its registered office in Podgorica, which carries out an activity of public interest in Montenegro. Electricity transmission. The CGES electricity transmission system consists of 1,411 km of transmission lines and 25 substations at 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV voltage levels, with a total installed capacity of 3,866 MVA, while operational management is carried out from the organisational unit, the National Dispatch Centre, usingenjoy state-of-the-art software tool.

During May 2020, the transmission system transmitted a total of 569,312 GWh electricity, which is for 20.66% more compared to the same month of the previous year. Of this, 52.91 GWh was supplied to direct consumers (KAP, Toščelik and Railway Infrastructure), 163.569 GWh to distribution consumers, while 352.833 GWh was supplied to other electricity systems.

When it comes to electricity generation in Montenegro, 100 MW was injected into the transmission system from generation facilities in May this year. 65,127 GWh electricity, of which 34.397 GWh, respectively 53% produced in hydroelectric power stations, and 30.728 GWh, respectively 47% It was obtained from the wind.

In May, the CGES maintenance service, in addition to routine maintenance, carried out 19 inspections and 12 equipment overhauls at substations, as well as 3 interventions. As for the transmission lines, in May andfinished 8 inspections and 8 overhead line repairs, as well as 5 emergency interventions. The aforementioned activities are carried out with our own resources, thanks to our skilled and qualified staff, as well as the modern equipment our company possesses.
