We need expertise, and we need as many skilled people as possible to help us draft strategic documents and laws, to help the economy and find the right solutions for the challenges that lie ahead. In that sense, I expect you to help us find quality, long-term solutions in the energy sector that will be in line with new trends and the energy transition, which relies on green energy and renewable sources," he emphasised. Mladen Bojanić, Minister of Capital Investments in to the Government of Montenegro, opening the seventh Consultation of the Montenegrin Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Grids, which is being held from 28 to 30 September at the 'Mediteran' hotel in Becic. Minister Bojanić recalled that the Ministry of Capital Investments, as the lead body for the development of the energy and climate strategy, is doing everything to involve the professional community as much as possible in the process of preparing strategic documents, which, he said, is one of the reasons for signing the Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Montenegro.
Successful work to the participants of the 7th Consultation The President of the CG KO of CIGRE also wished them well. Predrag Mijajlović, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektroprivreda Crna Gora, Milutin Đukanović and representative of the CIGRE Regional Committee for South-Eastern Europe, President of the CIGRE Serbia Committee, Nebojša Petrović.
This is a year of great jubilees. One hundred years of the Paris CIGRE and 70 years of CIGRE in Montenegro. Our wish was to sort through all these heaps of electronic messages, incomprehensible video content, we will replace with a human, living, warm word. I hope we will succeed in that too," said Mijajlović, adding that at the seventh Consultation, good solutions, ideas, and critical reviews will be heard, and the future of energy in Montenegro can be seen precisely through the prism of all these topics. It should be noted that the Montenegrin Committee of CIGRE, besides upholding the engineering profession and its high standards, traditionally instils in our young people a respect for the diversity of their cultural and historical heritage. Without false modesty, we have been the driving force of the country's economic development, but were we recognised? "In the opinion of the wider public, as well as the state at certain moments, I believe we were not. However, that did not deter us; we had a goal before us and we pressed on resolutely towards it," emphasised Mijajlović.
At Elektroprivreda Crna Gora, we see the current energy transition as a great opportunity to kick-start business activities and more dynamic economic growth in the country. Despite everything moving so quickly and some unforeseen circumstances occurring, to be successful we must work on and build new facilities for the generation of electricity from renewable sources. That is the only sure-fire combination," he said last night at the official opening to the participants of the 7th Meeting of the Montenegrin Committee of CIGRE, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EPCG Milutin Đukanović.
Đukanović recalled that in the previous forty years, not a single source of electricity had been built in Montenegro, but that the EPCG faces major projects, some of which have already been launched.
"Despite everything happening so quickly and some unforeseen circumstances, to be successful we must build new facilities for generating electricity from renewable sources. That is the only sure-fire combination," emphasised Milutin Đukanović.
