CGES and the Vaso Aligrudić Secondary School of Electrical Engineering signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement.
Today, the signing of the Technical Cooperation Agreement between this energy company and the Vaso Aligrudić Secondary School of Electrical Engineering took place at the headquarters of the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System, thereby officially marking the start of practical training for the school's pupils. The collaboration aims to give students the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired at school in real working conditions, under the mentorship of experts from CGES.
Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Asanović, stressed the importance of investing in young people's education, emphasising that such cooperation is crucial for developing a qualified workforce in the energy sector. "This initiative allows students to become more familiar with the operation of the electricity grid, as well as the processes of plant maintenance and the implementation of innovative solutions. During this programme, students will gain valuable practical experience that will enable them to understand modern technologies and standards. In addition, students will develop key technical skills necessary for future work in electrical engineering, empowering them for the challenges of the modern job market," emphasised Asanović.
Ersan Spahić, director of the Vaso Aligrudić Secondary School of Electrical Engineering, expressed his gratitude that the students were given the opportunity to learn from experienced CGES experts, and to familiarise themselves with the most modern technological solutions and practices in the electricity sector through practical lessons, professional training and mentorship. This step is not only an opportunity to acquire new skills, but also to build strong professional connections with one of the most important sectors in the country.
"Pupils at our school will now have the opportunity to work on projects and tasks through direct collaboration with CGES, which will enable them to gain the practical experience that is in demand in the job market. This agreement opens doors for students to better and faster employment, as well as for further professional development,' said Spahić.
In addition to the practical work to be organised in the Maintenance Department CGES, within the 220/110/35 kV 'Podgorica 1' substation,(Zagorič-Podgorica), the placement will also include a tour of the CGES's significant infrastructure within the territory of the Capital City.
