The eight-week professional placement of students from the 'Vaso Aligrudić' Secondary School of Electrical Engineering at CGES was concluded with a visit to the National Dispatch Centre (NDC) – the location from which Montenegro's entire transmission system is managed.

On behalf of CGES, the students were welcomed by Ranko Redžić, the director of the NDC, who introduced them to the story of managing the electricity system and the daily tasks carried out within the centre, highlighting the importance of timely response, automation and the expertise of the staff.

When young people get the opportunity to step into the real world of energy, their true journey begins.I am proud that we provided them with such a journey through an eight-week placement and introduced them to the key aspects of the transmission system's operation. Their curiosity, engagement, and openness to learning showed us that the future of this sector truly has potential. They had excellent mentors, the expert professionals from CGES, and it was a pleasure for all of us to impart our knowledge, show them the technologies we use, visit some of the most important energy facilities, and also to motivate them to stay on this path. Such placements are not just an opportunity for the students, but also a way to connect education with one of the most significant energy companies. We believe in young people and will strive to continue being a support for them on their professional journey.

Ersan Spahić, director of the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering, said:

This visit is the culmination of a serious process. The placement at CGES was an opportunity for the students to connect classroom knowledge with real-world systems. Our students have enhanced their theoretical and practical knowledge. I believe this experience will be a source of motivation for future success, as well as for continuing their studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, where they will be able to further develop their skills, contribute to the future advancement of our profession and one day become part of the energy sector."

Zoran Radulović, Head of the Operational Management Service, shared concrete knowledge about the functioning of the system, technologies and the challenges of running such a centre, through a direct and very engaging interaction with the students.

Accompanying the headteacher on the visit were the school's closest collaborators and teachers, who supported the pupils throughout the placement and monitored their progress.
