CGES SUPPORTED THE UNION OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS' DAY OF ACTION

slikaThe Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System (CGES), in cooperation with the Union of High School Students of Montenegro (UNSCG) Supported the project entitled 'Action Day'.


As part of this project, 10 pupils selected by the Union of Secondary School Students spent part of the working day at CGES.

The pupils were divided into two groups, the first of which visited the National Dispatch Centre (NDC) and learnt about the work in this organisational part of CGES, which is responsible for the operational management of the electricity transmission system, while the second group of pupils volunteered at TS Zagorič, where they were introduced to the work in the control room as well as the 220/110/35 kV substation.

The 'Action Day' project is the first of its kind in our country, whereas in Western and Northern Europe it has been carried out since 1968. The 'Action Day' project is the first of its kind in our country, whereas in Western and Northern Europe it has been running since 1968. It involves pupils across the country having the opportunity, for one day, to work for a set period at a place of their own choosing, or one provided by the project organiser, without the obligation of attending school lessons during those 24 hours.
