The financial arrangement agreement was signed by Dragan Kujović, Executive Director of CGES and Jörg Meilicke, Director for Montenegro and region.

The signing of this contract represents the first step towards the construction of the electricity transmission infrastructure on the Luštica peninsula. The project includes the construction of a new 110/35 kV substation in Radovići, the expansion of the 110/35 kV substation in Tivat, and the installation of underground 110 kV cables. which connect the Radovići substation to the existing overhead 110 kV 'Tivat-Budva' line, and also entails the implementation the new overhead 110 kV 'Lastva-Kotor' transmission line, as well as the reconstruction of the overhead 110 kV 'Tivat-Lastva' transmission line.

By realising this very significant investment, we will secure a significantly greater level of safety and reliability in the power supply ...with electricity for all consumers in this part of the Montenegrin coast, as well as the capacity to connect new tourist complexes whose construction is planned. We will also link the energy facilities in the coastal part of our country.

The project itself will foster the development of tourism in the Lustica area, which suggests a significant socio-economic benefit for both the state and this part of the coast.
