The Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro marked its day on 21 April with a traditional awards ceremony for companies and entrepreneurs who distinguished themselves during 2020 through successful business operations, social responsibility, innovation, and management improvement. Among the laureates was our company, which today at the 'Gorica' Villa was presented with the country's highest business honour – the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro's annual award for successful business operations.
President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, in the presence of distinguished guests – the Minister of Economic Development, Mr Jakov Milatović, Mayor of Podgorica Dr Ivana Vuković, representatives of the business and academic communities, presented the award to the Executive Director of CGES, To Dragana Kujović.
The justification for the award to CGES for successful business performance states, among other things, that it Montenegrin electricity transmission system In 2020, despite the significant challenges for businesses, CGES achieved significant growth in all areas of its operations and, judging by its financial indicators, the best results since its foundation. Financial reports show that CGES's revenue in the previous year amounted to 51.1 million euros, with a profit of 12.5 million euros. AD CGES is a good example that state-owned resources can be managed in an efficient and profitable manner. In 2020, the company also operated in a socially responsible manner, launched numerous initiatives, and was a reliable partner to local communities and society as a whole. Notably, CGES's support for the Paralympic Committee of Montenegro stands out.
