The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) coordinates the activities of transmission system operators in the member states, with the aim of ensuring the safe operation of the interconnected electricity system. In order to do so in the best possible wayčTo utilise the benefits offered by working in the interconnection, close cooperation between companies is necessary. čwoman ŠpanšWell, I'm sorryžThe synchronous coupling of the interconnected electricity grid requires a common understanding of the technical and organisational processes and procedures for grid management and system operation.
CGES has ensured compliance with the relevant ENTSO-E standards and defined a number of important issues by signing new Transmission System Operation Agreements with all the neighbouring TSOs (EMS – Serbia, NOSBiH – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Terna – Italy, OST – Albania and KOSTT – Kosovo), ensured compliance with the relevant ENTSO-E standards and defined a number of important issues, thereby improving the conditions for the system's operation in interconnection and enhancing operational security.
The content and form of the Transmission System Operation Agreement are prescribed by the Synchronous Area Framework Agreement (SAFA). By signing the SAFA agreement, together with other OPSs from the Continental Europe synchronous area, CGES has committed to complying with the standards prescribed by the ENTSO codes. These standards, in addition to the exchange of all necessary data on systems, equipment settings and protection devices, and relevant disturbances, include the harmonisation of the following issues between neighbouring transmission system operators:
· A method for regulating voltage and controlling reactive power flows;
· The method for coordinating and planning outages and coordinating the execution of work on System elements;
· Method for calculating cross-border transmission capacities;
· System restoration after disturbances and frequency management during disturbances and
· A method for real-time data exchange and joint training of operational personnel.
