The Chamber of Electrical Engineers organised a professional conference entitled 'The Fourth IKCG Electrical Engineers' Days'. Our colleague also took part in the webinar. Mladen Kasalica, MEng, who, as a co-author, gave a notable and very successful presentation of a very high-quality paper: Remote Access to CGES Substation Secondary Systems with a theme that was particularly relevant during the pandemic. Besides engineer Kasalica, the authors of the paper are also Ivan Asanović, Dipl.Eng. in Electrical Engineering CGES, as well as colleagues Dr Ivan Strnad i Ivan Višić from the company PRO INTEGRIS of Split.

The subject of the work is the implementation of a system for remote access to process networks and the integration of new facilities into the NDC SCADA system, which is being implemented through the "NDC114" investment project.

When we speak of the benefits of implementing the aforementioned system, we shall highlight the most significant ones. This is, first and foremost, Controlling network devices and network traffic, and rapidly detecting and resolving issues in the process network. Then, standardisation and access to process networks. Certainly, the benefits also include faster, more efficient and higher-quality analysis of propulsion events, as well as more agile performance of routine maintenance tasks on secondary systems. The benefits also include a faster and more efficient response in the event of failures, as Adequate IT protection for the process network
