Biography of Aleksandar Mijušković

Aleksandar Mijušković is A graduate engineer in electrical engineering, with twenty-seven years of work experience in the energy sector. In June 2021, he took up the position of Chairman of the CGES Board of Directors, and since July 2022, He is a member of the CGES Board of Directors and Assistant Executive Director for Development.

Previously radio u The Coordinated Auction Office for South-East Europe (SEE CAO), which allocates cross-border transmission capacity between the transmission system operators of South-East Europe, who are also the company's founders. From 2014 to 2019, he was the Executive Director of SEE CAO, and as a continuation of his significant role in the formation of this successful regional company, He held numerous positions, from Project Team Leader to Executive Director of the Project Company responsible for establishing the Office for Coordinated Auctions in Southeast Europe between 2012 and 2014.

From 1995 to 2009, he worked at the National Dispatch Centre (EPCG) in numerous roles, from operations dispatcher to Chief Engineer for Analytics, Energy Settlement and Forecasting, where he gained extensive experience in the management of the electricity transmission system.

From 2009 to 2012, he was Director of the Sector for Regulatory, Legal, Personnel and International Cooperation Affairs.

Mijušković is a member of the SEETSO TF (Transmission System Operators' Working Group) electricity southeastern Europe), a member of ENTSO-E (the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity), the Market Committee and the ENTSO-E Regional Group for Southeastern Europe, as well as a member of EUROELECTRIC (the European Electricity Industry Association), the working group for southeastern Europe.

Aleksandar Mijušković is one of the initiators of the project to connect Montenegro and Italy with a submarine power cable and a member of the negotiating team.of with the Italian transmission system operator "Terna".

As a member of the Montenegrin delegation, he participated in the plenary sub-committee meetings and the sectoral meetings of the enhanced regular dialogue between the European Commission and Montenegro on transport, energy, environmental and regional policy.

He has been a participant in all the Athens forums since 2003.

Throughout his career to date, he has successfully collaborated with transmission system operators, energy companies, the Secretariat of the Energy Community, as well as international financial institutions.

The partner is the Institute for Energy of South-Eastern Europe (IENE) from Athens.

In addition to the above, he was an invited speaker at numerous conferences and seminars across Europe.
