Aleksandar Mijušković re-elected as Chairman of the CGES Board of Directors

We inform the public of the decisions of the 13th Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System, which was held today in Podgorica. at which the members of the Board of Directors of this energy company were relieved of their duties and subsequently appointed.

Beside Aleksandra Mijuškovića(CGES),Jelene Matejić(EMS), Giacomo Donini i Guide Guide(Terna – National Electricity Grid S.p.A.),who are the re-elected members, The CGES Board of Directors will represent and Slavoljub TodorovićDiploma Engineer in MiningVučko Fatić, a qualified economist and Violeta Vuljaj, M.Sc. in Management.

After At the shareholders' meeting, the constitutive session of the new board of directors was held, at which it was decided that Aleksandar Mijušković will be the chairman of the CGES Board of Directors.

Biography of Aleksandar Mijušković

Aleksandar Mijušković is a graduate engineer in electrical engineering, with with twenty-nine years of work experience in the energy sector. Since June 2021, he has served as Chairman of the CGES Board of Directors for multiple terms, with a short break, until 25 January 2024.

Previously operates the Office for Coordinated Auction in Southeast Europe (SEE CAO), which allocates cross-border transmission capacity between the transmission system operators of Southeast Europe, who are also the company's founders. From 2014 to 2019, he was the Executive Director of SEE CAO, and as a continuation of his significant role in the formation of this successful regional company, He held numerous positions, from Project Team Leader to Executive Director of the Project Company responsible for establishing the Office for Coordinated Auctions in Southeast Europe between 2012 and 2014.

From 1995 to 2009, he worked at the National Dispatch Centre (EPCG) in numerous roles, from operations dispatcher to Chief Engineer for Analytics, Energy Settlement and Forecasting, where he gained extensive experience in the management of the electricity transmission system.

From 2009 to 2012, he was Director of the Sector for Regulatory, Legal, Personnel and International Cooperation Affairs.

It is a member of the ENTSO-E Assembly and the Med-TSO Assembly.

Mijušković was a member of the SEETSO TF (working group of electricity transmission system operators) southeastern Europe), a member of ENTSO-E (the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity), the Market Committee and the ENTSO-E Regional Group for Southeastern Europe, as well as a member of EUROELECTRIC (the European Electricity Industry Association), the working group for southeastern Europe.

Aleksandar Mijušković is one of the initiators of the project to connect Montenegro and Italy with a submarine power cable and a member of the negotiating team.of with the Italian transmission system operator "Terna".

As a member of the Montenegrin delegation, he participated in the plenary sub-committee meetings and the sectoral meetings of the enhanced regular dialogue between the European Commission and Montenegro on transport, energy, environmental and regional policy.

He has been a participant in all the Athens forums since 2003.

Throughout his career to date, he has successfully collaborated with transmission system operators, energy companies, the Secretariat of the Energy Community, as well as international financial institutions.

The partner is the Institute for Energy of South-Eastern Europe (IENE) from Athens.

In addition to the above, he was an invited speaker at numerous conferences and seminars across Europe.
