CGES donated 15,000 euros for the reconstruction of the Šćepan Đukić Primary School in Lijeva Rijeka.
Montegnegro's electricity transmission system (CGES), continues to invest in the community—this time by supporting education. With a donation of €15,000, CGES will help to rebuild the 'Šćepan Đukić' Primary School, significantly improving conditions for pupils and teaching staff.
Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Asanović, He emphasised that the company is aware of how important education is for the development of any society, and especially for smaller communities, 'where the school is not just a place of learning, but also the heart of the entire area'.
"Our company believes that investing in education is investing in the future. The children who are in the school desks of this school today will tomorrow be the drivers of development, innovation and progress. We want to provide them with the best possible conditions for learning and growing up, because every child deserves a safe, modern and inspiring school environment," said Asanović after presenting the donation.
He said that he believes a successful society is one in which companies, institutions and citizens work together for the betterment of all.
"Our company is proud to be a part of this project. I wish the pupils every success in their further education, with the hope that this renovation will bring new energy and motivation to you all, and that this area will continue to build a successful future," Asanović said.
Director of the Šćepan Đukić Primary School, Vesna Vuksanović, she said that the donation from CGES for that institution represents an extremely significant and great help.
"We could never have expected such a generous sum. It means a great deal to us because, as well as improving conditions at the school, it has also inspired other donors to support us, bringing us happiness and hope for better conditions for our pupils," stated Vuksanović.
As she announced, they plan to use the donation to renovate the sports hall, replace the ironmongery, as well as for other necessary works that will improve the conditions in the school.
"We want the work to start as soon as possible, and we hope that in a year's time we will gather here again and proudly show you what we have achieved thanks to your donation," said Vuksanović.
