As is now tradition, CGES joined the global 'Earth Hour' initiative on 19 March, which in Montenegro is promoted by the non-governmental organisation 'Green Home'. By symbolically switching off the lights in its facilities, and by estimating, i.e. measuring, the savings in real time, By participating in the one-hour lighting switch-off, our company has symbolically reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development, the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable sources of electricity, all with the aim of preserving the environment. An optimally planned and regularly maintained electricity network, managed efficiently, is an indispensable part of an effective, self-sustaining energy system. We plan for the further development of the system, mindful of this fact.
This year, the biggest savings in consumption were achieved in Danilovgrad, near 10 ofin Podgorica by around six per cent, while savings of 0.6 per cent were achieved nationwide.
