Aleksandar Mijušković, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Montenegrin Transmission System Operator (CGES), participated as a panellist at the Fourteenth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development (IFESD-14), which is being held this week in Skopje, organised by five regional commissions of the United Nations and the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources of North Macedonia.
Mijušković was a participant in the first panel: 'Energy Interconnection, Resilience and Security of Supply in South-East Europe', which brought together representatives of transmission system operators, European Commission and the Energy Community Secretariat, with the aim of discussing key issues of energy interconnection, resilience and security of supply in the region.
CGES placed a special emphasis on the security of the transmission system, emphasising that energy stability is the foundation of any sustainable development.
The importance of modernising infrastructure, digitalising network management and regional coordination, as the foundation for the energy resilience of Southeast Europe, was emphasised.
The Forum, under the slogan 'From Goals to Action – Energy of the Future through Sustainable Development', is one of the most significant global gatherings in the field of sustainable energy in 2025, dedicated to accelerating the energy transition and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Part of the CGES delegation was also Dragan Perunović, Director of the Sector for Development and Investment.
