On Saturday, 29th October, we had the opportunity to host members of olive growing associations and experts in agroeconomics, olive growing and land reclamation from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and to present to them the olive grove, which as a separate project 'Our Olive' encircles the important infrastructural unit of the TS 'Lastva'.

The Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Asanović, welcomed the guests and thanked them for their visit, expressing his satisfaction that it was the CGES olive grove that was the focus of interest for experts from the region. In a short speech, Asanović welcomed the guests and informed them about the characteristics and importance of one of the most significant electrical power facilities – the 'Lastva' Substation – and the idea behind planting the olive grove, which is a reflection of the company's desire to give something beautiful and useful back to the community in which it operates and, at the same time, improve the visual impact of the power facilities in this area, a region where the entire local population is deeply connected to the olive tree, by making a concrete contribution to the development of olive growing with the planting of 1,000 olive saplings.

"We have carefully nurtured 'Our Olive', invested a great deal of effort and, as a result, have this olive grove, which has a future. I am proud of everything we have achieved with, I must point out, the selfless help of our partner, The "Boka" Raspberry Growers' Society, with whom we have an exceptional collaboration, and with whose representative, Mrs Vesna Đukić, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, which means a great deal to both parties," emphasised the Executive Director of CGES.

Valued guests had the opportunity to walk through part of the olive grove, from which there is a fine view of the TS 'Lastva' infrastructure project.

Later, in the premises of the substation, there was also talk of green energy sources and socially responsible business, which is an important aspect of CGES's operations. Dr Ivan Ilić, president of the Olive Growers' Society 'Boka', also addressed the attendees, praising the idea and implementation of the 'Our Olive Tree', emphasising that Montenegro needs more socially responsible companies like CGES. Ilić wished CGES good luck with its olive grove cultivation and future projects.

We are proud that esteemed guests from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina chose to visit our olive grove, and we firmly believe that in the near future we will also be able to boast of a product in the form of the precious oil that the ancient Greeks called 'liquid gold'.8221; ?
