Memorandum of Cooperation Signed between the Montenegrin Transmission System Operator AD Podgorica and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering
The Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Bulatović, and the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica, Professor Zoran Veljović, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions.
The Memorandum lays the foundation for the commencement of mutual cooperation in the fields of science, teaching and professional practice, projects and other documents of significance to Montenegro. Within its framework, cooperation is also envisaged, among other things, regarding the scientific or professional work of the staff of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering on the preparation or revision of studies, projects or other documents of interest to the CGES, with the engagement of researchers depending on the type of document and the available capacities of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
The Memorandum commits CGES to assisting with student placements, the professional development of students and academic staff of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, in accordance with its capabilities. It also recognises the need to support the teaching process. In this regard, it was agreed that in the autumn, students will take part in a tour to familiarise themselves with specific capital projects being implemented by CGES that are significant for Montenegro.
The general opinion from today's meeting, at which a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, is that there is plenty of scope for cooperation, and that it is the responsibility of CGES and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering to realise it in the mutual interest.
