Signing of an agreement for the connection of SPP Tupan - contribution to the green energy transition
Another important agreement in the field of development of renewable energy sources was signed today – an agreement on the construction of infrastructure for the connection of the solar power plant Tupan to the transmission network. The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Asanović , and the representative of S2P Elektric GMBH Rumlang-from Switzerland, Predrag Prentić..
By signing this agreement, the technical and operational conditions for the connection of the power plant to the transmission network were defined, which will create prerequisites for its future functioning within electric the power system.
The solar power plant Tupan, with a capacity of 70 MW, will contribute to the strengthening of domestic electricity generation from renewable sources, increase in energy security and further diversification of the power system. The project is in line with the strategic determination for the development of sustainable energy and the reduction of harmful gas emissions.
The implementation of this project additionally confirms the commitment of CGES to the development of renewable energy sources and the modernisation of power infrastructure, while at the same time strengthening the investment environment in the power sector.
