More reliable electricity supply for Podgorica, Cetinje and the Montenegrin coast

A new transformer, worth almost two million euros, is being installed at the 'Podgorica2' substation, which will ensure greater reliability of the electricity system, particularly for the consumer areas of Podgorica, the Montenegrin coast and Cetinje.

The 'Podgorica 2' substation is one of five so-called large substations owned by the Montenegrin Transmission System Operator and one of the most important substations in our electricity system. The new transformer will provide consumers in the aforementioned consumption areas with a more reliable supply of electricity via the distribution network.

After this job, The installation of another transformer at the 'Lastva' substation will follow, which will also help to improve the quality of the power supply to consumers in the Montenegrin Riviera.

As a reminder, at the end of last year, the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System commissioned two new transformers at the Kotor and Nikšić substations, so our company has invested more than 5.3 million euros in four new transformers, thereby ensuring a more reliable supply to electricity consumers.energy to the northern, central and coastal parts of our country.
