The Montenegrin electricity transmission system has recently completed the reconstruction of the 110kV 'Bar-Budva' transmission line, in the village of Buljarica 2.
CGES has commenced a project to completely reconstruct the section from pillar 50 to pillar 55, replacing the existing pillars with newly constructed, structurally stronger ones, which will be able to withstand the extreme climatic conditions of the micro-location in which they are installed.
A overhaul of the 110 kV 'Podgorica – Virpazar – Bar' transmission line has also recently been completed, thereby minimising the possibility of supply problems for the local electricity consumers.
The reconstruction of the aforementioned 110 kV Bar-Budva transmission line, over a length of approximately 1,006 metres, was carried out to increase the reliability of the electricity supply to the consumer areas of Bar and Ulcinj.
