In accordance with the Law on Cross-border Exchange of Electricity and Gas, The obligation of the Montenegrin Transmission System Operator is to establish regional cooperation within ENTSO-E and to promote operational agreements at a regional level with a view to the coordinated allocation of cross-border capacity on an equal footing and on market principles. The method and procedures for the allocation of available transmission capacity on the Montenegro-Italy interconnector are defined by the rules for the allocation of cross-border capacity. The said rules were approved by the Energy Regulatory Agency at its meeting held on 14 November 2019, in accordance with the Decision of the CGES Board of Directors of 7 November 2019.
