
At the celebration of the anniversary of the coordinated auction in Southeast Europe, which was held on 8 December in Becici, The event was attended by representatives of the shareholder companies – the transmission system operators in south-eastern Europe, the Energy Community Secretariat, international financial institutions that supported the project, as well as the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro.
After the Executive Director of the Office for Coordinated Auctions in South-Eastern Europe (SEE CAO), Mr Aleksandar Mijušković welcomed and presented the company's achievements, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SEE CAO, Mr Damjan Međimorec He addressed the guests, after which the presentations by Mr Janez Kopač, Director of the Energy Community, Mr Vladimir Kavarić, the Minister of Economy of Montenegro and Mr Branislava Prelevića, President of the Regulatory Board of the Energy Community.
The aim of this event is to mark the anniversary of the successful operational launch of SEE CAO, during which the first annual auctions for the following year were launched in November 2014. In the first successful year, SEE CAO covered the borders between Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece and Turkey, which highlighted the annual auctions for 2016, when all transmission capacities from Croatia to Turkey were allocated by SEE CAO on a 'one-stop-shop' principle, (one-stop-shop), in accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EC) 714/2009. The SEE CAO has been identified as a mandatory energy trading point in Southeast Europe and has proven its important role in the open and competitive energy market in the region.
