President of the Board of Directors of the Montenegrin Transmission System Operator (CGES), Aleksandar Mijušković, together with his colleagues, visited the 'Stojan Cerović' Grammar School and on that occasion presented a valuable donation of 10,000 euros, which will enable the equipping of the classrooms with modern digital and laboratory equipment.
On this occasion, Mijušković emphasised: It is my great pleasure to be at the "Stojan Cerović" Grammar School today – a school that not only upholds a long and rich tradition, but is also a symbol of knowledge, education and success. Generations have come of age here, shaping society and leaving a strong mark on science, culture and public life.
"Individuals whose names are deeply etched into our community and country have emerged from these very benches. Their achievements are the best proof that this school is not just a place of learning, but also a breeding ground for talent, ideas and values," said the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
There was never any doubt about our decision to make a valuable donation of 10,000 euros to the Grammar School. Our goal is clear – we want to contribute to creating an even better environment for learning, research and the development of talent, he said.
This is not the first time that the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System has invested in education. Our company does so continuously, aware that education, knowledge and the dedication of young people are the foundation of all progress. We believe that every investment in education will pay dividends for our country for generations to come," concluded Mijušković.
On behalf of the pupils, teaching staff and management of the Grammar School, the Deputy Director, Slobodanka Žižić, thanked the Montenegrin Transmission System and the Chairman of the Board of Directors. As she pointed out, the donation will significantly improve the quality of the educational work at the school.
"CGES, as a socially responsible company, has recognised the importance of investing in education, and has recognised the importance of investing in the 'Stojan Cerović' Grammar School, an institution that is a symbol of the city beneath the Trebjesha, but also an institution that has produced numerous generations of successful people, scientists, artists, and sportspeople… This donation is not just an investment in equipment. For us, above all, it is an investment in the current and future generations of sixth-formers. We hope that there will be scope for us to continue our successful cooperation in the future and that, alongside this company, there will be others who recognise the importance of investing in education," said Žižić.
Following the handover of the donation, other forms of cooperation with the Montenegrin electricity transmission system were also discussed. The possibility of organising study visits for students with an interest in electrical engineering, modern technologies, computer systems, and the development of new devices and systems was highlighted.
"Our pupils who are interested in studying electrical engineering in the future could visit CGES, familiarise themselves with the company's work, broaden their horizons even further and become even more interested in electrical engineering as a science," emphasised the physics teacher and Chair of the School Board.Ana Vujačić.
