Today, a memorandum of cooperation was signed at the University of Montenegro with the Montenegrin Transmission System Operator AD Podgorica, further strengthening the partnership between the academic and business sectors in supporting the best students.

The memorandum was solemnly signed by the president of the Board of Directors of the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System AD Podgorica, Aleksandar Mijušković, and Rector University of Montenegro, Professor Dr Vladimir Božović.

Under this memorandum, the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System will provide scholarships for the three best students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Montenegro. The memorandum provides for annual scholarships of 300 euros per month for ten months, as well as the possibility of internships and professional development for the selected students.

The Chairman of the CGES Board of Directors, Aleksandar Mijušković, stated that numerous students from the University of Montenegro have already become part of this company's team, which confirms the quality that this academic community fosters. "We hope that the best will recognise the prospect of staying, alongside the company's strategic decision to systematically invest in their education, professional training, and involvement in key development projects in the energy sector through programmes like these." Mijušković said.

In the context of the importance of such partnerships, Rector Božović emphasised: "I believe this is a commitment to retaining the best in the country, supporting their professional development here, where they are most needed. It is through initiatives like this that we create the conditions for talented and educated young people not to seek opportunities abroad, but to create them here themselves and become the driving force for the development of our society."

As a reminder, the University of Montenegro launched the 'Scholarships for the Best. Jobs with the Best' initiative on 22 April this year. The University will continue to develop cooperation with businesses, with the aim of providing students with a quality education linked to practical experience, as well as an opportunity for professional development.
