
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Aleksandar Mijuskovic and the Executive Director Ivan Asanović, together with their closest collaborators Leda Minić, Director of Elektroprenos, and Aleksa KneževićHead of Executive Director Office, paid an official visit to the German transmission system operator 50Hertz.
During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the key aspects of the functioning of the TSO’s system, including the regulatory framework and financing, the development of a network with a high participation of renewable sources, as well as the application of the Modular Control Centre System (MCCS), which enables the integration of 100% renewable energy.
In addition, work on innovative solutions such as the WindGrid project and HVDC technology for improving the electric power system was presented.
Special attention was paid to the concepts of operational system control and interaction with users, and the delegation had the opportunity to visit the Reserve Control Center (RCC), where the method of controlling the network in real time was demonstrated.
This visit further strengthens the cooperation between CGES and 50Hertz, opening up space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences with the aim of further improving the electricity transmission network of Montenegro.
