Continuing to foster corporate social responsibility towards vulnerable groups, this year CGES has donated €5.000, 00 (five thousand euros) to ZU Special Hospital for Psychiatry “Dobrota” in Kotor. This significant donation, intended to improve the work of the medical staff through the acquisition of the missing medical equipment for work, provided the hospital with the possibility to initiate the acquisition procedure in the shortest possible time. The following equipment was then purchased: six inhalers for adults, a six-channel ECG machine, six walkers with wheels, five immobilisation boards, three resuscitation sets, an EEG cap, a toilet chair, sterilisation containers and other missing medical equipment.
On that occasion, a handover ceremony of this valuable donation was arranged today at the premises of our hospital.
The Director of the hospital, Dr. Aleksandar Mačić, specialist in psychiatry, expressed gratitude for the meaningful gift that will improve the further work of this institution, emphasising his great satisfaction at the fact that CGES has, this year as well, recognised the needs of vulnerable and sensitive social groups and provided support in the form of the financial donation for the acquisition of the medical equipment.
’’In times when donating is becoming less and less common, CGES always finds a way to oblige us and enable us to acquire the equipment we really need, and we are immensely grateful to them for that”, Dr. Mačić concluded.
The Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Asanovic, B.Sc.E.E., expressed immense satisfaction at having the opportunity to hand over the donation on behalf of the company, noting that this is another indicator of the extent to which the company invests in and attends to the health system in Montenegro.
„ “As one of the leading companies in the country, CGES strives to be present in all areas of importance for Montenegrin society. Apart from the endeavour to fulfil our primary task and obligation regarding the quality of electricity delivery to consumers connected to the transmission system, another role of our company is to make an active and constant contribution to the development of the community where we operate.
By applying the concepts of corporate social responsibility as well as carrying out numerous projects, CGES endeavours to create strong bonds with the community and better understand its needs and demands. This situation was no exception either. So, not only did we bear in mind that this is the only hospital specialised in dealing with these diseases in Montenegro, we also identified their needs, paying special regard to the fact they are an institution working with a very sensitive population.
We expressed our intention to help them, thus making our full contribution to the improvement of the work of psychiatry in Kotor”, Asanović pointed out.
“Moreover, by carrying out this action as well as the similar ones, we want to raise awareness as regards
the importance of the advancement of medical services, all for the benefit of patients.
Doing business in a socially responsible way is one of the core principles of our company and we will keep striving
to understand the needs of the local community where we operate”, concluded Asanović.
ZU Special Hospital for Psychiatry “Dobrota” Kotor wishes to express deep gratitude to CGES, which, through
its selfless efforts, this time as well progressed towards nurturing and fostering good relations with the public
institution, the employees of the health system, along with the most vulnerable social groups hospitalised in
our medical facility.
