CGES – SOLAR POWER PLANT
On 4 August 2023, a contract was signed in Podgorica for the connection of the 'Prediš' solar power plant, with an installed capacity of 215 MW, to the transmission system, at a cost of around 180 million euros. The contract was signed by the CEO of CGES, Ivan Asanović and Executive Director of 'Renewable Energy Sources' LLC, Rusmin Muslić.
The solar power plant will be connected via a 400 kV transmission line to the RP 'Čevo' substation. In addition to the greater grid connection capacity, this technical solution also enables better characteristics of the transmission system as it eliminates the possibility of a simultaneous outage of the 400 kV transmission lines towards Trebinje and Pljevlja, which will have multiple benefits, including an increase in short-circuit power and system inertia.
