The 400 kV Lastva–Pljevlja transmission line, one of the most significant power infrastructure projects in Montenegro, has today entered trial operation.
The commencement of trial operation marks the first establishment of robust 400 kV transmission connection between the northern and southern regions of Montenegro. This milestone significantly enhances the security and reliability of the country's electricity supply, strengthens the national transmission network, and provides a solid foundation for the further development of the power system, including the increased integration of renewable energy sources.
During the trial operation period, any identified deficiencies identified through operational testing will be rectified, while the procedure for obtaining the use permit will be completed in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements. Following the successful completion of these activities, the transmission line will be officially commissioned for commercial operation.,
