The 110/35 kV substation “Pljevlja 1” has been in operation since 1961. Its reconstruction and equipment replacement will increase the reliability of power supply and enable remote control. The project implementation will reduce maintenance costs, and with the introduction of the 110 kV transmission line “Žabljak – Pljevlja,” the security of power supply to the distribution consumers in the municipalities of Pljevlja and Žabljak will be enhanced.
This project includes reconstruction and expansion works on the 110/35 kV substation “Pljevlja 1” in the following scope:
The part of the project related to the reconstruction of the existing 110 kV facility includes works on:
· Complete replacement of high-voltage equipment;
· Complete replacement of the foundations and supports for high-voltage equipment;
· Partial replacement of the incoming portals;
· Complete replacement of busbar portals;
· Reconstruction of the traffic infrastructure, cable infrastructure, fencing, and lighting;
The part of the project related to the substation expansion includes:
· Construction and complete equipping of one transmission line bay, one coupling bay, two metering bays, and two reserve bays;
· Construction of traffic infrastructure, cable infrastructure, fencing, and lighting.
The preparation and revision of the main project have been completed, the building permit has been obtained, and the contractor has been selected. On February 25, 2023, the contractor was introduced to the site. The works are being carried out according to the planned schedule, and the electromechanical works have been completed, while less than 5% of construction works remain.
For the second phase of this project (foundations and transformer tanks with oil containment), the contractor has been selected.
The value of the investment is €3 million, and the planned completion date is 2024.
